About part 2

Ok ok, I should probably explain the site's name now.
As some of you may know, the chimera was a mythological creature.
It is most often described as the combination of a lion with a goat's head coming out of its back and a snake for a tail.
This makes for an interesting creature indeed.
The word chimeric is thus defined as imaginary or fanciful.

However, a chimera is also defined as a single organism (usually an animal) that is composed of two or more different populations of genetically distinct cells. {Taken from the Wikipedia article on chimera (genetics)}
You might find as you peruse this site that I am somewhat liberal in how I interpret various words.
To this end, the 'Chimeric' in my site title refers to the variety of distinct topics I will talk about.
While the 'Abstractions' part refers as stated before to my personal view of things as a programmer.
It also refers to how people learn as abstractions are a powerful tool in generalizing the world.
More on that at a later date.

Regardless, if you enjoyed this about page. I'd say you're weird.
But we're all weird in some respect and I hope you enjoy your stay in my world.
Welcome to Chimeric Abstractions.
